Cold Finished Bright Steel Bar is one of the many available finishes for stainless steel bars. The bright bars are used in applications where corrosion is prone and aesthetic values are expected. This material composition provides the 316 SS bright flat bar with 515MPa minimum tensile strength and 205MPa minimum yield strength. There are different shapes of bright bars such as the round bars, square bars, hexagonal bars and flat bars. The SS bright round bar is the most common. The round bars can be used in construction, metal framing and to make fasteners such as bolts and nuts as well. The Stainless steel 202 Bright Rod is made up of carbon, chromium, manganese, nickel, phosphorus, sulfur and silicon. The 7.5% manganese in the composition provides the material with increased 275MPa minimum yield strength and 515MPa minimum tensile strength. The Square Bright Bar is used for the strength of the shape. The square shaped bars are also used in outdoor metal frames and in metallic structures. The strongest in shape is the Hexagonal Bright bar. It is also used in applications where strength is needed and in outdoor applications. The hex bars are made from all different materials as well. They can range from 1m to 6m in length. The SS bright round bar can come in custom lengths as well. The standards for the bright bars can range such as ASTM A276 and ASTM A 479 as well. There are martensitic grades of stainless steel bars such as the 410 bright bar. The 410 grade has 11.5% chromium, carbon, manganese, nickel, phosphorus, sulfur and silicon in the composition. These bars range in outer diameter from 4mm to 100mm. The 410 grade is used for high wear and tear resistance. The 416 bright bar is made up of 14% chromium, 1.25% manganese, carbon, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur and molybdenum.

The bars can come under ASTM A276, A479, A484 and A582 specifications with different temperature and pressure requirements. They can be hot rolled or cold drawn as well. The diameter of the 416 bars range from 2mm to 300mm. The hot rolled steel bright bar is made under elevated temperatures and by rolling them in the desired shape.
